Live: Retire “Old” Certifications & Resuscitation Credentials

For staff that are not renewing certifications or resuscitation credentials that are documented in the HealthStream Learning Center (HLC), you can now manually retire these items. Once retired, learners are removed from applicable Intervals and Certification-Based Assignments. In addition, retired items do not appear in the Expiring Certification report or any applicable Alerts that your organization has enabled, like “Student Certification Expiration Date Approaching.”

Any administrator or learner that has permissions to edit certifications and resuscitation credentials will see this new option (review here), as well as the option to “unretire.” For audit purposes, retired items can be included in the Certification Management report within our Analytics library. In a future release, we’ll add the option to include retired items in the Expiring Certification report. NOTE: We’ll provide updates as available, but retired items will still appear on My Team and the Resuscitation Performance Dashboard without an indicator that they are retired. Managers can continue to “hide” these items on My Team (review here).

Live: Bedside-Friendly Mobile App, Facilitator Course, & Community of Practice

If you contract for the ART Essentials program, we recently released several new resources:
  • For Learners: Bedside-friendly mobile app for quick access to risk identification tools, pathway cards, the “ART wheel,” and more:

  • NOTE: To use the app, you must log in with an hStream ID, so learners are now prompted to create one before beginning ART Essentials. As needed, staff can also create an hStream ID here
  • For Facilitators: Administrators can now assign the course ART Essentials Implementation Resources (Facilitators Only), which includes implementation resources tailored to seamlessly integrate ART into your culture from day one.

  • For Leaders & Facilitators: Administrators can now assign the course Get Access to ART Support Resources in the HealthStream Community, so leaders and facilitators can interact with their peers and HealthStream support specialists.
