Every day hundreds of newly-born infants become ill and require specialized care. In the U.S., just under 4 million babies are born each year and 11% are preterm. Many others have cardiac, surgical and complex medical conditions. Properly performed stabilization care directly impacts the immediate health of the infant as well as the infant’s long-term outcome.

The S.T.A.B.L.E. Program was developed to meet the educational needs of all perinatal healthcare providers – nurses, physicians, respiratory therapists, and assistants – who must be ready to deliver critically important stabilization care.

S.T.A.B.L.E. is the most widely distributed and implemented neonatal education program utilized worldwide to focus exclusively on the post-resuscitation/pre-transport stabilization care of sick infants, however it has only been available via live, instructor-led classes. Now, with the flexibility to access the program online through HealthStream, more maternal/child caregivers will be able to reinforce their knowledge and critical thinking skills through an interactive, neonatal case library and dynamic educational experience.
